The owner designed this custom home, representing a true reflection of their values and goals. The detail ensures high-performance energy efficiency while influencing style and design elements to make the space comfortable. The structure incorporates beautiful features, such as the custom-forged steel screen at the front entrance, handcrafted by Jake James, Artist, and Blacksmith. One main benefit of passive houses is high-energy efficiency and comfort. To qualify for a Passive House certification, a design and construction team must adhere to strict criteria, such as Airtight construction, high-performance glazing, thermal bridge-free detailing, and superior ventilation.
